A long established business built on craft
FJ Metal Products is a long established business with light fabrication capabilities across a variety of metals, specialising in tubular metal products and tube bending.
The business was formed when co-owner, Phil O’Brien (founder and previous owner of O’Brien Metal Products and O’Brien Metal Fabrication) acquired the business of F J Contracts P/L and added his extensive experience in design and tube bending to establish F J Metal Products P/L.
In today’s automated and often impersonal world, we provide “old fashioned” personalised service. Every enquiry is handled in a friendly and ethical manner by our highly experienced staff. You will usually find yourself dealing with Phil O’Brien personally.

Who is Phil O'Brien?
Phil has over 35 years experience in the design and production of quality metal products, and is respected in the industry for his expertise in the production of high quality mandrel-bent steel, stainless steel, brass, copper or aluminium bends.
In the 70’s and 80’s Phil’s company was the largest Australian producer of high quality motorcycle exhaust systems, which were also exported to other markets.
Phil then moved his attention to the production of domestic and commercial furniture, and was responsible for many innovative design features, especially in the production of steel beds, which other manufacturers have subsequently adopted.
